Job Description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) involves work within an established market and some travel to additional markets for trainings, meetings and blitzes.  The purpose of theKAM is to help build brand equity while driving accelerated volume growth.  The KAM will work in conjunction with the distributor sales teams in each market. This person will travel extensively within the region gaining new points of distribution, conducting staff trainings, and executing consumer-facing events.

 

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

 

 

  • On Premise acct relationship building and brand presence
    • Create a target account list by brand
    • Secure high-quality back-bar distribution in target accounts
    • Develop impactful feature and drink menu plan to drive brand pull
    • Train and educate account staff and consumers on the company brands.
    • Manage company meeting dinners and activities when being held in market
    • Work with local distributor on premise teams
    • Ability to work through class B distribution system
  • On Premise local regional acct building & brand presence
  • Off Premise Independent acct building and brand presence
  • Partner with select clubs and associations in the area to recruit discerning consumers
  • Effectively manage assigned budgets, then track and measure program results
  • Plan & facilitate consumer events, trade events and brand building promotions
    • Identify and participate in impactful local events based on brand standards and goals
    • Manage Brand Team and Brand Ambassador led events and activity in market
    • Identify brand specific opportunities in the market where there is a good consumer/demo fit
  • Inform area manager of competitive activity in the market
